INCEPTION

ATCM was established on 3 August 1995 under the Societies Act 1966. Each member of ATCM is registered as a trust company under the Trust Companies Act 1949 and are regulated by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM).​

The Association of Trustee Companies Malaysia (ATCM) is the pioneering industry body representing the collective interests of licensed trust companies in Malaysia. 

 

Recognized by regulators and policymakers, ATCM serves as a trusted platform for dialogue, advocacy and collaboration in the formulation of laws, policies, regulations, and best practices that shape the trust and fiduciary landscape. 

 

Our members play a vital role in safeguarding assets, facilitating estate planning, and supporting financial integrity across generations. Through strategic engagement and thought leadership, ATCM champions industry standards, promotes professional excellence, and ensures the evolving needs of clients and stakeholders are met with trust, transparency and innovation.

To represent the trust industry in promoting high standards of professionalism and corporate governance by collaboration with relevant authorities and industry participants.
